the woman they could not silence (because she wrote a blog)

Well, hello there. Welcome to my brand new little corner of the internet!
This is a site for all of my bookish thoughts and opinions. Sometimes a book is so good you just gotta scream into the void about it! And sometimes an innocuous yet incongruous detail is so obnoxious you've gotta go on a petty rant about it.
Either way, whoever said reading books was an independent hobby was wrong-- the only thing we readers love more than reading books is talking about them.
So join me on my reading journey as I intermittently kick my lil' feet or shake my fists impotently at the sky. I'm excited to make bookish friends with y'all!
Today's blog post is actually a reference to the title of one of my favourite non-fiction reads!
Equal parts inspiring and infuriating, it tells the story of Elizabeth Packard who is largely responsible for many of the rights women and mentally ill patients enjoy today.
Kate Moore brilliantly writes her story as if it were a novel and I couldn't put it down.
This is peak female rage (I am the female, and yes I am incensed) but also a side of American history that's often overlooked by schools.

I know I already get your rants and raves in discord but I am down for more wherever I can get it!
